Hello everyone! I was petting my dog recently and noticed some hard patches on his hair and when I grabbed it it easily came off with his hair. I’m not sure what it could be or how he got it? I added some photos that hopefully help?

It most likely is a staph infection… need to boost the immune system and will need an antibiotic. Also, since immune system is weakne, it might be underlying allergies… food or environmental

Thank you! Scheduled his vet appointment!
Something to think about, but what food brand and protein are you feeding?

Please keep us posted

we have just been through exactly the same thing with Wesley, started off as tiny scabs but ended up with some larger patches of bald skin leaving his lower back looking moth eaten!
After a vet check it was decided it was most probably an environmental allergy
we started wiping him down after walks incase it was pollen related and also bought a medicated shampoo that was recommended by the vet.
wether it was our actions or just natural healing he did improve after that and all his fur has grown back.
we did also use ā€Nu-stockā€œ cream as recommended by other members on the forum.
