So we started Jupiter on Fromm's Heartland Gold Puppy 'Large Breed' but then I went on Pet Flow and inadvertently ordered the Heartland Gold Puppy 'standard' :blush2:

What I want to get you opinion(s) on: Should I be OK with feeding the standard Puppy food with maybe a small change to the amount of food?

The ingredients are the same just mixed in different proportions with a slightly different balance of ingredients.

I am no expert on this topic... I tagged two members that give some insight. I fed Fromm puppy... not large breed to Lambeau and he is a good size boy now at 15 months

Jupiter is 10 1/2 weeks and already hit 12.8 lbs last night! She's basically doubled in size since we brought her home :)

I think Lambeau came home at 10 weeks and was about that weight... I'll have to check his records when I get home tonight

You can feed the standard and it's OK, in fact, I would stay with it. Feed the same amount. I believe in feeding pups plenty when they are growing. We feed ours that age three times a day. When they get around months old we go to twice a day. We feed our pups FROMM Puppy Gold in the pink bag. Next time I may try the Heartland standard.

I agree with David, the ingredients are so very close there is no reason to waste good food.

If you are not giving NuVet plus I would recommend adding that to their daily regimen too, I use it as treats.

Fromm food is good flavor for bullies? Y looking for best flavor for maximus ( 8 months old) he doesn't want to eat, I feed with blue buffalo wilderness.

Many here feed Fromm grain free line as it works well and you can easily switch flavors without transition time

Try Beef Frittata or Pork and Peas

how much are you feeding your puppy right now? I have a 4 months old and i'm feeding gold puppy. The recommendation from Fromm's guideline is only 1 1/3 to 2 3/4 cup daily. I think it is too little for the puppy
