Hello! So Nacho took a nap on the couch today and he COVERED IT in drool. I know English bulldogs drool a lot but is this normal? He has never drooled before in his sleep and he's being doing so lately. It's excessive to be honest. The drool ran from the couch to the floor to create a pool. Is this normal? Is this too much? Is this a sign of illness? I'm a bit worried! Any help pls!!!

How old is Nacho now? If 6 months or less it could be teething... otherwise, it can be an upset belly or a reaction to a dream?

looks pretty much normal to me.
I accepted the fact, I own a bulldog, I live in drool, and there's what I call "bulldog art" on all the car windows.

wouldn't have it any othe way though.

We get a good amount of drool with murphy, but that’s only if he knows we have his food bowl and we are taking too long and then it is an insane amount!!!. We always have a towel for him everyday!

im kind of laughing here as.......that is one reason i 'thought' i would NEVER want bulldog..lol and although i a converted bulldog lover, mom, and a huge fan now, i was lucky enough that in Hanks nearly 2 years with us, to my knowledge he has only drooled 3x and it was all nerves.. most i've heard though say that drool is the norm. im guessing we just got lucky??? pretty descriptive pic... did make me laugh ;)

nachothebulldog I would have to agree with 2BullyMama, it may be an upset tummy, or a mouth problem,if he does not normally drool like that. I have 3 EBD's, and none of them drool-only when they see me getting the food-if I am too slow! I just hope Nacho is okay.

Same with Monty. He only drools when I am getting his food ready then it's like he turned on a tap. He never drools at any other time.

Agree that the drool flows when food is around. Maybe he was dreaming of you filling his food bowl, and you were going entirely too slow doing it.
