When strangers approach me about my dogs I usually discourage them from getting a bulldog. If it looks like they haven't done any homework about the breed in the first place I don't feel they deserve my input. Usually I'll say, "you know you can't just put this kind of dog outside with a bowl of water and a bowl of kibble. You have to be willing to treat them as good as you treat yourself maybe even better!"
