diatomaceous earth: bug bites & fleas

Anyone ever used diatomaceous earth on their bully? I started using it on Friday on Penny, so far it hasn't been working. Just curious if it has worked for anyone else or if I'm wasting my time. I want these itchies to go away for her she's just miserable. I'm giving her benadryl as well, but it doesn't seem to help. Thanks.

DE will not stop the itch. It is used to KILL fleas, ticks, etc. The itching could possibly be from food allergies or other allergies.

There are many threads here concerning DE, make sure you are using
FOOD GRADE DE. It will not stop itching...how are you using it on her?

What are you feeding Penny, itching skin could be caused by many things.

Cortisone cream can be rubbed into itchy spots or can be sprayed on (comes
in a spray) and there are specialty shampoos that help.

The main thing here is determining WHY she's itching and from WHAT...then
treat accordingly...could be mites, etc.

as the othere ladies have said. DE repels/kills fleas, ticks, etc. does not stop itching.... can you give more detail about your little girl?
