Depressed

Gia seems depressed today I was on vacation Christmas week, went back to work the Monday after Christmas and then worked from home the rest of New Years week due to the storm. Do you think its because I went back to work today and the kids went back to school? She was very happy when I came home but kind of sad looking after that. She kind of wandered around like she didnt know what to do with herself and then finally climbed up on me and went to sleep...she is literally laying across me and I cant move.

It could be that she is trying to figure out why the house is so quiet, and "where is everybody?" I don't know if she's depressed, just out of sorts. It will take some time for her to adjust again to everyone's routine. Just keep reassuring her that your still there for her, maybe give her some extra attention for a little while, and try to keep to her routine as much as possible. I think with time she will be back to her old self again.

I agree w Cali baker. Bullies seem really sensitive to change and are very family oriented animals. She prolly just needs to adjust to the new routine. Lots of hugs to her!

I get a little depressed after the holidays myself...I'm sure with a little extra TLC, she'll get out of her funk!

Hi, I agree with everyone, the holidays are a busy, stressful time, and everyone's schedules at both school and work are different, we are home more, but busy with Christmas decorating, shopping, visiting and running around, and now the kids are back in school, and you're back to work, so now the house is quiet again, she's probably just missing everyone being home. She'll get used to everything being back to normal and will settle back in soon. Give her extra love and hugs, and she'll be fine.
