Brock and the new puppy, possible issue?

So Brock seems to like his new little brother Brink but I'm concerned as he keeps sniffing/licking Brink's crotch but I haven't seen any info on it really. He is really persistent about it too. Does anyone know what that means, is he being aggressive doing that? Any suggestions on stopping it?

That is normal behavior for dogs. They always lick each other. I'd say that is a good sign, but make sure he doesn't do it so much that the baby gets sore! When mine get too carried away with the "grooming" I sa y "that's enough licking," and try to distract them with a toy. (Not that they always listen).

Lynn gave you great advice… it's very normally behavior. It can get on your nerves though… LOL

Finn and Tate do that to each other quite often. Finn can over-do it though as he's a little OCD with the licking. You got great advice above and it sounds like your two bullies are becoming great buds!

Thanks everyone for the reassurance! Brock has been on Brink's crotch like 90% of the time and flipping him to lick it and other than separating them it's been a licking frenzy. Hopefully we will get it toned down a bit before we have a raw puppy.
