We're at -30 degrees here in in Wisconsin with the windchill, Loki gets baths every week just make sure they got potty before and not to drink to much water. A good towel dry and cuddles until he's dry
Great tips above, try and bath after potty, gather all equipment & warm bath
room prior, put old towels on floor, after bathing & rinsing, do a final rinse with
2 cups cheap white vinegar then fill rest of plastic pitcher up w/warm water.
From neck back, pour over body and leave in to condition skin & fur. Blot dry.
Doing this will cut that stink (won't smell like vinegar either) longer between
baths. I bath Cami about every 3-4 weeks. For her shampoo I use original
formula Dawn, it is gentle and kills fleas I take up all wet towls, throw
down dry ones, keeping bath room heater on and let her finish drying in there
about 15-20 minutes. Finish with fav treat
I am in Wisconsin also up to -50 here, Brynn just had a bath too. I just made sure I had towels all over the floor, she went out first, then I did dry her off with the hair dryer a little bit so she would dry faster/stay warm. Didn't let her back outside until she was completely dry. Seemed to be fine
Yes we still bath our guys when it's cold out, and we do the same as above members, make sure you take them potty before getting wet, so they don't have to go out for a few hours after their bath. Have plenty of dry towels and rub them dry them well. They should be fine if your home is warm. You received really good advice from members above.
