If my husband was a "dog" person....I would have a rescue of my own going. This dog is worth a chance at having a good pet life. He is happy now but with our move his options aren't as good. I would never give up on a bully. He doesn't fit in our environment yet he could make someone very happy so I wanted to pursue the connections of the EBNews group.
I emailed Brenda about the male I need to find a forever home for. He is gorgeous, 100% healthy and sound, not physical issues or medications but has behavior issues that require a special home. When we got him as a 2 year old we did not receive honest open disclosure of his issues. He is shy except around my 26 yr old daughter and myself...and one other person. He is timid around kids. CANNOT be in a home with a cat! CANNOT go to a home with a male dog and I would feel more comfortable if he were placed where he was an only pet. The ideal rescuee/adoptee would be a mature age person or couple with a fenced yard, no other pets or children. Derek is VERY aggressive toward cats and male dogs. We are moving by Thanksgiving and this has intensified my search for a home for Derek.
hi Jamelyn - sorry so many people to remember -- and thanks for the encouragement -- she started on goat today and had to rush to the vets as her anal glands were giving her a major issue so now that she is not running around like a mad dog hopefully the goat will calm her skin down. Its a trial and error but we will keep plugging away. Thanks for all your help and support
thank you for your advise i didnt want to chang her protien too quickly and cause more distress so that is good advice. I felt it would take time for all the toxins to come out of her so I was expecting this but just wanted to be sure. She loves it so far and is digesting it well so thats all I can ask for now. I know what goes in and comes out now literally and for the first time that feels like I am in control of this.
Hi there, Im sorry I have 1 more question for you. Do you think I should stop feeding her all of the fillers and just feed her the chicken/meat to see what she is possibly allergic to and then add in the fillers. If so, how long do you think I should do this for.
Thank you, Bree
