We feed raw for 3 dogs - 2 bulldogs and a bichon frise. Last week, I bulk purchased meat for $240US (Euro=173.9 at an exchange rate of $1.38=1 Euro). Each bulldog eats 1.8lbs of meat/day while the bichon eats 0.5lbs/day. After dividing the bulk purchase into single day servings, I ended up with 48 days... so about 1.5 months for all 3 dogs.
Price of beef in the US has spiked in the last few months. I used to be able to buy beef hearts for $0.99/lb. Now, it's $1.39! Chicken is about the only thing that hasn't changed. I bought chicken leg quarters for $0.69/lb and boneless/skinless chicken breasts for $1.99/lb (super cheap because you have to buy 30 lbs a pop). Whiting and Swai are both $2.49/lb. Pork butt is $1.79/lb (with bone). Beef liver - $1.99/lb, kidney $1.49/lb. Chicken feet is $1.39/lb. Pork brains, $1.69/lb (I know, right! It's brains! Why would it be more expensive than beef liver?)... Whole skinned rabbit $2.89/lb. Rack of lamb $2.89/lb.
