General Question Taking a temperature ...

Ok as some of you know I am babysitting some extra bulldogs this week, well one of them I have to take her temperature twice a day because she is very pregnant and ready to deliver I believe on Monday so I'm keeping track of her temperature ....

so my question is what type of lube do you use on the thermometer? Poor little girl just cried this morning when I tried to insert the thermometer so I added a little Vaseline to help it slide easier ... but wasn't sure if that is ok to use .... please help!

When I take my guys to the vet, she always checks their temperatures, and she uses Vaseline, so it must be safe.

I just lick the probe before inserting it......BAHAHAHAHAHAHA Had you there for a second. Just kidding, K Y jelly or Vaseline work great.

yes when sarah was sick this summer and i had to take her temp i used vaseline and she was fine.
