I have gradually switched our puppy (8mo) to Fromms 4 star Game Bird recipe. She was on Pro Plan chicken and brown rice from the breeder. I switched her to Fromms after reading up on your reviews and that Pro Plan was not a good food. We have been doing the switch over three weeks. Started with a tsp a day and now we are up to full feeding as the proplan has run out. Well when we first started her she developed pneumonia which is not related I know. However recently she has been vomiting food and foam as well as gagging foam. I am not sure if its related to the food. I know it hasn't been long and I don't want to give up yet and try something new. Any thoughts? Could this be from the food or her elongated soft pallet? Just wanted to hear from experienced owners.

Hmmm… has she seen the vet since her pneumonia episode? I was just curious to see if she was over it yet… I will tag some members that are familiar w/elongated pallets. Is the vomit digested food or just straight kibble?

I'm wondering if she could be coughing up the phlegm from her chest… did they do an x-ray on her? I know when I had bronchitis I coughed up for days :(

How long has she been coughing food up? Could it be a possibility she ate something she wasn't suppose to and now has an upset stomach?

Could be from the elongated palate. It may be irritated from the pneumonia.

Yes she was treated with antibiotics and breathing meds. It's digested soft kibble but it maintained it's shape.

how are things going .... any better?
