Thatās great news she is doing well on raw.Hello everyone,
She seems to be fully ok with raw diet.
Just couldnt get right information about how much should i feed her a day?
She will be a year old in 2weeks and 25kg.
Some says 2-3% of their weight, some says 4-5%
What would be your suggestion?
Many thanks
Kemal
Dear 2001,Thatās great news she is doing well on raw.
In general a 50 lb dog would need around 1 pound of raw per day.
Of course every dog is different as to how much they need to maintain her weight. I would start with 1 pound per day and if you novice she is a little overweight then decrease the amount and if she is skinny then increase it.
But I think 1 pound per day is a good start for her weight.
2-3% of Their weight is the general recommendation, 3% would be for a very higher active dog.
Keep us updated
How did all this work out? Dealing with same issues with a 9 month old female.Dear 2001,
Thank you for your suggestion.
I will go for pound a day and watch her weight and her stool.
Much appreciated, i will keep you posted
All the best
Kemal
Start by switch to adult food and offering 3/4-1 cup 2 X Day. Grain free is fine and avoid anything made by Purina. Also avoid Chicken and Beef proteins. How did all this work out? Dealing with same issues with a 9 month old female.
Cutting down the amount worked perfectly fine. How did all this work out? Dealing with same issues with a 9 month old female.
Im so glad already improved. After 10 months, i moved to raw diet food with my girl and she is ver happy with it too.I just went to 1 cup 2x a day. Looks better already. Thanks for the response.
