I have gone from adding a sprinkle of Fromms kibble to Ace's current food of Proplan for the first 2 days to now at 1/4 cup, total of 5 days into transition. So far, no soft stools. I have noticed that his bowel movements have increased by approx 2 extra per day. He's currently on 1/2cup proplan + 1/4cup Fromms 2 times per day. Hope it stays this smooth throughout the next 2 weeks. Goal is to increase to 1/2 cup Fromms by Friday while keeping decreasing proplan to 1/4 cup. Then the final week (3rd wk) increasing to 3/4 cup Fromms and keeping 1/4 c. proplan. Then from there gradually increase Fromms to 1 cup morn, 1 cup evening and completely take out proplan. If he needs more, I'll go with feeding 3 x per day.

:guycelebrate:Hi Eric, it sounds like your on the right track, and I hope the transition continues to go well. The best way to do a slow food transition is over 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. It can take up to a month to see any improvements, as it can take that long for the old food to leave their systems. Keep up the good work, and I hope the new food gives successful results, and Ace tolerates it well. Good job Dad.:goodjob:

Sounds good…
Oh BTW Ace is adorable… LOL :luv:

What a great picture of the little man!

Good plan and like the progress!

Thanks everyone. I'm also doing 1/2 pump grizzly salmon oil and 1 nuvet plus wafer.

Increased the Fromms by 2 tablespoons and took off 2 tablespoons from the ProPlan...2nd day and about 5 poos later, still in great shape! lol

Update: In the final week of full transition to Fromms. Proplan is down to only 1/4 cup, and fromms is up to 1/2 - 3/4 cup per feeding (2 x per day) . Continues with great success!
