Saban does pretty well on his crate training until i go to work, and sadly enough he is atleast 7 hrs in his crate :( Most days he is clean but occasionally he has an accident, who can blame him in that length of time, but he ends up getting several baths a week due to accidents. Im worried his skin will dry out. What kind of shampoo should I use on him?The hubby usually is home before me or leaves right before i get home so its only a day or two that hes alone for that length of time. Also we were home all day yesterday, but it was raiining and he was like forget that...would not potty outside to save his life!! so i his kennel it was

I use the Johnsons baby shampoo ..... that way it's really gentle, smells good and it won't sting their eyes!!!

I bathe gigi once a week but he gets around 3 since hes housebreaking....

Jozi went in her crate last night.
I read on a crate training website
that it will set her back severely.
Is this true? She had to go her tunny
got upset and we weren't there to
take her out. She is doing pretty good
just don't want to have any setbacks.

bfletch13 I'm not sure but I don't think it will be a terrible setback. If her tummy was upset then I am sure she only went in her crate because she HAD to go.

Fragrances and soaps dry out the skin so I suggest getting a shampoo without it. I use Tropiclean, their puppy/hypoallergenic formula is fragrance/soap free, you can get it at Petsmart/Petco.

consider using a hypoallergenic oatmeal conditioner if you are bathing that frequently and make sure you rinse the shampoo very well if left on they can egt a little itchy.

bfletch13 I agree with TessaandSamson .... I don't believe it will set Jozi back at all. She had an upset stomach, and the occasional accident is always going to happen because they are babies!
