I went to Caesars in Atlantic City yesterday to go to the Pier shops for a class project with a fellow student. She went to shop, I did not. After 3 hot, exhausting hours (45 mins of which she spent in Victoria's Secrets) we finally got to leave. I have never paid for parking with my debit card but I didn't have any cash on me. I signed the receipt without looking at it and came home. About 4 hours later Linnet is looking online at our account and says why did you withdraw $500 at the casino? I was like...

Come to find out the older lady who ran my card through at the ticket booth where I paid typed in $500 instead of $5.
That threw my account in the negative last night and I was on the phone with a supervisor trying to get this straightened out. Thank GOD it was resolved today and we have our money and account back in black.
Moral of the story: Even if it's a $5 charge, always look at your receipt before you sign it.
