Possible conjunctivitis

I'd be very wary of having her put under as I have read there is a higher risk of the dog not coming round due to small air ways, any thoughts on that guys??

Yes there is truth to it... but you also have to weight the impact of not doing it, depending on the severity, she could go blind or lose her eye... inverted eyelashes are very painful

I'll definatly get it done, I'll be ringing to get it sorted hopefully before Xmas.

Fergie says merry Xmas!

Best of luck --- be sure to ask the vet about what the use for sedation -- one is better for flat-face breeds bullmama knows the name of it.

Merry Christmas --- keep us posted

We have had two entropian surgeries for our OE and a trip to the optomologist after these to have eyelashes under his eyelid removed. The cost here in NW Arkansas was about 300 for both eyes.It was more for the specialist. Have they checked for wayward lashes inside?

Thanks guys going in on the 27th to hopefully get it done, the drops I have at the min to keep her pain at ease numb the eye so she can't feel the lashes rubbing, they are put in 5 times a day. As soon as the drops r in her eye opens up and is as normal as ever, but when they wear off its back to a closed eye and a sad face!

So fergie has to go to an opthomologist on the 12th jan, thank god I have pet insurance! 207 pounds for an hour consultation and then between 400-600 pound for the operation if it's needed which I'm sure it will be. She's worth it but cricky I wasn't expecting that figure

Best of luck with the procedure... please keep us posted on how she is doing

Just an update guys, So fergie was due to be in on Monday at a specialist for her op, running up to monday her eye miraculously seemed to better itself, it reopened stopped watering and I didn't even have to use the drops my vet gave me! I can't understand what's happened and even now I'm wondering if this was mis diagnosed by my vet! I always thought she might have scratched her cornea playing with my other dog which is a husky and they don't hold back whilst playing with each other! Anyway will keep an eye on how she is but as it stands her eye seems normal

Wishing the Very Best on Fergies eyes, She is a Precious and Beautiful Bully Baby.
