It’s been a little while since I’ve had a post on here. To make a very long story short, my husband and I are getting a divorce. I have full custody of Ms Stella now and her vet bills in the last month have been over 3k. She has been on rounds and rounds of antibiotics and the local vets couldn’t figure out how to cure them. So, she now has been sent to a specialist in Nashville, BluePearl, that has diagnosed her with transitional cell carcinoma (cancer). She goes back on November 3rd to see an Oncologist to go over Chemo options.
Has anyone went through this? If so, how did anyone get financial help? Anything will help me. I’m so lost. I’ve already went through the death of her brother Dozer from a heatstroke back in July and I want to try everything I possibly can to help my fur baby out.

Im so sorry you're having to go through all of this. I'll tag some members as some will guide you better since you're in the US.

I am sending Prayers for Precious Stella, and Loads of Love. I Pray she overcomes this horrible disease. God Bless Stella, and God Bless You Brittany. Please give Stella a hug and kiss from me.

First of all, I'm SO very sorry to hear this... Blue Pearl in Nashville is supposed to be one of the best hospitals in our area. Let me do some research and see what I can find...

Thank y’all for your help. I will look into these!

So I looked over those and they seem very complex. Do you know how anyone else has made financial arrangements for dog cancer bills?

Bhaverstock1 I have heard of people doing well on a place called GoFundMe. I don't know about it personally, but maybe you could see about that. Worth a try? Wish I knew more to help you.

I do not... i have a friend with a different breed and she used care credit and her credit cards.

My bulldog had this, but we opted not to give him chemo. He was extremely fearful of vets and the treatments succes rate is not very high, at least here in Finland. There is a inflammatory called Piroxicam that helps a lot for some unknown reason.

RiiSi So Stella has been on rounds of Piroxicam and that hasn’t helped any. What did you decide to do instead of Chemo?
My friend at my old job told me to get some apricot seeds that they are a huge cancer fighter. A girl she knew got them and they pretty much saved her dog! Anyone heard of this?
