Is the puking always random? A month is quite long to be sick, poor guy. Have you tried some lemon to help loosen the mucus (white foam) in his throat? Here's a video, the blog is about a dog w/ a small trachea and similar illness to Hooch.

I cant wait to post some pics!..Im at work and i dont have any Hooch pics on my work computer, been surfing the forums about the recent vomiting incidents and we are concerned, i was inaccurate when i said there was only frothy white vomit, my girlfriend said there has been bile in the vomit and its been green, we are concerned and she believes that he may have acid reflux, is this possible? have any of you folks witnessed this?

I was under the impression he was only throwing up white frothy type vomit but my girlfriend said there has been bile in the vomit and she and I are both concerned, we have been racking our brains and have narrowed it down to a few things but we are still scratching our heads, she thinks it could be acid reflux, I think that also but im always open to suggestions.

I would take her to an emergency vet hospital to have a specialist look at her! In my opinion a month is a long time to be sick! It would be easier than going to a vet but proably a little pricer! I am in Jersey where about in Jersey are you They have a really good hospital that I have gone to 5x with my bulldog and another memeber has recently been there with good exp with her bulldog and they have specialist who can help!

We are in Union North Jersey and we got to a regular vet who knows the breed and the vet has 2 bulldogs herself. We go to the Tinton Falls NJ Garden State Animal Hospital for specilist treatment and surgery! THey are amazing there! There is a list on this site of good bulldog vets and I belive that one that you mentionied is there! Its on the forum page of a list of vets so I would definatly check that out! THey are all very far so it would be easier to travel to hopsital 1 hr ...THey are more expensive but well worth it b.c they have more equipment/knowledge than the vet does in my opinion! LE tme know if you need anything else

Bonez did the same thing...white and sometimes yellowish Burger also did it yesterday right after he drank some water.... Bonez still gets sick but is because he eats crap !!!! lol
he eats toys so we can only get certain ones and he eats the string from rope toys.... and sticks and twigs and plants ..... it is just keeping an eye on them..... hope he is alright x

Hello and welcome to EBN and the wonderful world of bulldogs!

My boy, Nitschke use to do this as well... we then had a full blood screen allergy test done and it turned out he was allergic to rice. So, I am not saying Hooch (LOVE his name) is, but as you vet about this test. Also, it does sound like re-flux, Nitshcke also had this... 1 Pepcid 30 mins. before his meal will help settle his tummy. Keep up with the beef and rice and slow feeding..... and still get the xrays to make sure there is no obstruction.

I cant thank all of you enough for the replies, i feel some comfort from reading all of your information as does my girlfriend, we are going to try Pepsid first along with some slow eating tactics and then see a bulldog specialist about allergies and see what he is allergic to!...I will look forward to talking with all of you soon
