Costcos has food storage containers, large ones, that work great. I use them for flour, sugar, rice and dog food. They come in different sizes and the large will hold an entire large bag of dog food. What is cool about they is the lid comes off but there is also a smaller lid on the large one to open to either pour or use a measuring cup to get the food out. They are great and will keep both human and pet foods fresh for a very long time.

Bed Bath and Beyond sells a great one by Simple Human. Fits a 35 lb bag, is air tight, and looks better than most others I've seen. (And you can use one of their handy 20% coupons)
