It would be a very sad life if we just stopped living, as much as you don't want to leave them we often leave our children with relatives but don't want to leave or fur babies we are bully crazy.

I can't add to the great advice you've already got!!! If it's by personal recommendation from a friend you truly trust then take a big deep breath and go enjoy. And yes see if they have cameras because so many places do these days!!! If not, see if a friend or family can make the occasional visit and take pics on your behalf. They will understand .. I'm sure they realise you're a crazy bully owner by now!!!
