Our dear JDAM has been battling a rear back leg to where she limped all the time. My vet at first thought it was a torn CCL, so as she was going to do the surgery and had her under anesthesia, got to maneurver it and decided it was not the knee. She thought giving her pain meds and cosemin would help her. It hasn't. As a matter of fact her front left paw started bothering her to. We figured it was because of over compensating for the hind leg and foot. More xrays were taken and sent to pathology and got the most awful news we could get. JDAM has bone cancer.
It's a fast moving cancer and there is nothing that can be done for her. We have decided this week we need to put her down to get her out of her misery. She is 8 years old and we have had her 6 years out of that 8. I'm so lost and empty inside. I cry all the time. I want to take that pain away and keep her with me forever. I know that's impossible and that her end is near. She has been the most wonderful companion you could ask for. She has brought us so much joy and laughter and love.
I'm praying that God will give me the strength to do this. I love you JDAM. I love you.
We just recently got a puppy bully, he is 5 months old now. I think God knew the end was near for JDAM and led us to Little Legend. He lays with JDAM like he is trying to comfort her. I think dogs know, I don't know how, but they do. I'm asking everyone to please pray for JDAM for a quick passing over that rainbow bridge.
God bless
