Lilly at hospital, kidneys and liver

I'd be crying my eyeballs out too, Hun...who cares what others might think,
it's your baby!

So hate you're all alone, can you call someone to come be with you? Know that
we are WITH YOU in spirit and praying mightily for dear Lily.

Try to be positive, hard when you're worried so, and I'm asking GOD as soon as
I finish this post that answers will be found and Lilly will recover ASAP.

Here is a big, sister HUG for you~
:havemyheart:

Please stay in touch...I'll share that I was in NICU w/kidney thing about
3-4 yrs ago, specialists assured me if I survived I'd have kidney damage.
They were wrong, kidneys fine, they were dumbstruck.

GOD is in charge, not them and HE can do anything...have courage & hope!

Continued prayers and sending positive vibes & LOVE to y'all~Cami & Carol

Oh no!!! I'm so sorry to hear this awful news! Wish I were there to hug and cry with you. Please let us know .

Praying for you and Lilly! NEVER feel silly crying in the vet's office, even for the little stuff. It says that you care so much for your baby.

We're here with you. Hoping for a good outcome.

So sorry for this happening to Lily, they find out what is causing it and make Lily better.

Don't feel silly for crying I am sure we would all be crying if we were in your shoes, stay strong

Thank you everyone. I've been feeling so crappy and crying off and on that I didn't have the energy to post an update. I've calmed down a bit so here it goes...

They did an ultrasound and the doctor told me that everything he's seeing points to chronic kidney disease, but she also has a bladder infection 'that leading to the kidneys' (does that sound right, i'm pretty sure that's what he said). They'd like to keep her for 3-5 days on fluids, but the part I'm not understanding is if they keep her on fluids for that long and antibiotics will she be better or will it just get her through till something like dialysis. If dialysis is the end option, we really would not want to put her through that for the rest of her life. Nevermind the amount it would cost...we just can't do it. The doctor is kind of irritating me b/c I think he's trying to be nice and break things to me gently, but I really need the blunt facts in order to make a decision. Does a dog really ever come back from having kidney problems? They're going to check her levels tomorrow and see where she's at and then we're going to go in and talk with internal medicine to see what our options are. I just don't want her suffering.

Has he checked for an obstruction. A friend of ours bully was sick and she took her to their vet and he did some test and said kidney problems. I told them to bring her to my vet and he checked her and said she had an obstruction and did an emergency surgery on her and sure enough, she had an obstruction, and it did not show up on the x-ray.

Oh you poor thing and poor Lily! Twice has all the knowledge about this and Im sure she will be able to shed some light!

Sending Prayers From Chesty and I.
Chesty says feel better Lily!

Davidh They didn't mention anything about it. I don't see how there's any way she could have eaten something. She's either in her pen when we're not here or in the room with us. She's always in our sights. The most she's eaten are leaves. I'll definitely ask tomorrow morning though, thanks!!
