Kennel/boarding recommendations

I am hoping to take a vacation this summer so I have to figure out what to do with the stinkers. When it was only Raven it wasn't so bad asking dad to keep her. Now that we have two I think it's too much for my dad. So I need some other options, we live in NY so I would appreciate any referrals for boarding, kennels or pet sitters.

ask your vet techs... some of them do this as way to earn extra money

I haven't used anyone yet so can't recommend. But if I had to leave them, I would also ask the techs in my vets office if they could do it.

I am going to talk to the girls next month when I take Ty back for his neuter and cherry eye surgery. I was just talking to hubby, I may also look at renting a cabin up by Bear Mountain and one for later out in the year in the Poconos so we can drive and take the furry children with us. I always feel so bad leaving them but I know we have to because I sure do deserve a vacation.
