You are not losing her, we are all going to help you fight for her life. I would suggest seeing a specialist Vet. Are there ones close to you?
A kidney specialist or a bulldog specialist?
The list of recommended vets at the top of the page shows that the only vet in NJ is in Hainsport. That's about 2 hours from me. I contacted the Bulldog Club of America and they have 4 others in NJ. One of them is only about 20 minutes from here. I plan on taking her to the vet in the morning. Let them ultrasound her abdomen to see what state her kidneys are actually in. This will tell us if it's congenital or not. It should also tell us how much time they expect her to have. They will run a more complete blood panel to get exact levels of "something" (my head was swimming by this point in the conversation, I didn't write that part down). They will also give her IV fluids for a day or 2 to flush out her system. That plus some medication might give her a little more time. My heart was broken by that point. I couldn't understand anything else that she said. When I go there in person tomorrow morning I will get more answers. This was such an incredibly hard conversation to have by telephone.
