I am here to announce some GREAT news about Mia!!

This is the first toy I have bought for Mia. When I want to get it, it took three or four trips up and down the toy aisle to pick it out as I'm used to buying for the pups as they will play with just about anything but what would Mia like, well she is playing with it.

She is HOLDING it!!! that is great! She did not know how to hold or crasp toys/bones when she was with us.... I tried to show/teach her so it is cool to see her holding the toy!!

She is getting some good lovin'!! Well deserved too

Mia want to see my veterinarian Dr. Ferguson yesterday for the first time. Mia did very well in the waiting area, she only wanted to eat one dog out of 10 or 12




Some great news about her eyes, when they did a tear duct test she got a level 15 in her good eye level 12 in her blind eye.
The highest level she was getting a few weeks ago was only a 4. So she has made a remarkable difference and shows she's starting to make her own tears.


The doctor also found a few loose teeth that will have to be pulled as well as a growth in her mouth that may have to be removed.
They're talking about doing the dental work when she's brought in to be spayed, we're just waiting for her to acclimate to her new home and get more comfortable before we bring her in for these procedures.


Overall the doctor felt she was doing very well for what she has been through which yes put a big smile on my face.


I'm having trouble finding some of the pain medicine that Mia needs for her arthritis in her front leg and when Christina got wind of this she immediately volunteered to ship two weeks worth of the medicine to me, you probably all know how Christina is, she flat out refused any payment, very happy to have such support and help.

She looks so happy and that is great news! There are so many sad stories lately so I love going back to this one. It restores my faith in the human kind and brightens me day. Thank you all

I was just lookign at the home page for American Authors, and the post fan videos for the their songs on their page. I think yiou should consider sending them the video and the story, I think they would really like to know their video was used for such a happy ending to Mia's story.

Just droped Mia off at our Vet. for her being spayed, a growth removed from her mouth and a few teeth pulled today.I'll be on pins and needles all day over this
Next Sunday she will start her first class with a trainer to help her get along with other dogs.
