I have left messages for 2 rescues in Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas! I am waiting for call backs but may not get anything until tommorow! I will keep trying...Please dont make any decisons as of yet!! How far is Kansas from NJ?

My name is Fred and we have a english bulldog named Bugsy and one named Lizzy. I dont know if anyone can help in this situation but Bugsy tore his knee up and needs tplo surgery. Unfortunately my vet cant do it and the only place that he referred us to was K State veterinary school. We cant afford that. I am hoping that someone knows of any foundations or organizations that can help us with him. I dont want him to be put down because we cant afford the surgery and i hate to give him to a rescue because we cant afford to do it ourselves but if i have to send him away to save his life i guess thats what i will do. I guess i am just looking for direction or emotional support on what to do. Dont know how tobreak it to the kids they just know he is hurt at this point. Does anyone know of a bulldog specialist in Kansas that might take payments? Thanks

If need be Christine I spoke with Diana at St Louis Rescue and she is willing to take him into her rescue but needs more info and has to setup transport! I told her I would help in anyway possible!! Kansas is about 12 hours from us Christine
