Help Needed! Hair falling out

So I have a 10 month old and we live in the PNW which is cold. His hair seems to be coming out a ton but don't know if its a diet issue or a Puppy loosing baby hair.

He's probably just blowing his coat. they will shed like crazy two times a year.

agree with David.... unless there are bald patches, he is most likely blowing his coat

Thank for the reply, No patch just lots of hair. He doesn't seem to have food allergies o we have been feeding him Costco brand which the vet says is good. We are mixing the Puppy for with adult food to change him over by the time he gets year. which is in a month.
