So, I'm pretty sure Matilda has a bladder infection, so today we trekked out to the emergency vet (ours is closed Sundays and for Labor Day).
While I waited in the lobby, there were several pet parents crying and I felt so awful that I was about to cry, too. I was so grateful that Matilda is such a happy, healthy little baby, and that we were there for something while uncomfortable, not serious. I remember when Tilly had a horrible reaction to eating a bee (she's very allergic), and I was sitting there crying, worrying. It's the worst feeling in the world and we usually don't even think of it until it happens to us.
I just wanted to remind everyone how precious our babies are, and to cuddle them a little extra every day, and be so grateful that we have them.
And please send good thoughts to all the sick and in pain pups out there and their families.
And as for Til, we got antibiotics, we're waiting a few days for the culture, but she doesn't seem to be in pain, so I'm sure everything will be fine.
