Unfortunately, I'm an organic, zero chemical tolerance gardener, tree hugger.
But for the record, I am certain that the slugs and snails actually ENJOY the beer traps before they drown in them.

We also use beer sometimes.

Oh I cant wait to see your garden @Vicaroo1000 it sounds lovely!

My plants are even bigger than the pic but they are very leafy and not producing many flowers. I need to adjust the chemicals in the soil but not sure what I need more of. Many of the flowers are not producing fruit???

I think that is an indicator of excess nitrogen in the soil. You can try mulching to help deplete some of the excess nitrogen.
 
@vicaroo100...maybe instead of it saying "dog show judge" under your username....it could say "slug hunter" :lol:
 
Yes....but it's a lot more fun to put on your pith helmet, clench a stogie between your teeth, grab your flashlight and gardening gloves and go on SLUG RECON!
