They mentioned possible strain injury but never impacted anal glands.Bulldogs can get impacted anal glands, which can be painful and pus filled. They can show as "hemorroids," as they would show out, or can even burst out a hole next to the anus. If that happens, they probably need an antibiotic, and a local application also. Some dogs never have trouble with impaction,as their glands clear with evacuation, and some have trouble.more fiber helps if they have such a problem
