Bully bad knees?

My blossom is 21 weeks old and has popped her back right knee. She limps and keeps lifting her leg off the floor she's on anti inflammatory meds and pain killers. I was hoping this will get better with no lasting problems, or am I kidding myself? Is she more likely to have problems in the future and need op?

I would definitely get an xray done, that will show them how bad it is..keep us posted, hopefully it will heal on its own.

The specialist that did jazzys knee said the way to tell for sure is put your thumb right in middle of knee cap and push,if she yelps and you can almost feel it kinda dangling, its torn..

@rijasterp julescoffman I can't imagine how hard it is to watch your babies go through that...the surgery..the recovery..but I admire you guys for making sacrifices and doing all you can to make life as comfortable as possible for them while they recuperate! Hopefully the other knee holds up and the vet is wrong...
Thank you for the kind words. I do not hope anyone has to go through this. Jewels next appt is at the end of the month. She still limps but is not yelping. We have increased our walking per the vet. We'll see.

Hope jewels gets a clean bill of health! It takes awhile to heal.i have a friend that has a cocker spaniel,he tore his knee 2 weeks before jazzy did,he limped for a year! Kept taking him back to vet, they did xray said he is fine and shouldn't be limping..they all agreed he had gotten so used to walking/limping that he was just doing it,he finally quit..

And we were also told that they may reject the metal, hope not!! But if it is that, they can remove the metal and will be fine without it,the knee has had time to heal..hopefully that's not the case with jewel! Praying she will be running around soon.

Thanks. Jewel is a work in progress and with "Tincture of Time" and patience she will heal and be running around with her brother.

Thank you again Roger!

I love the redneck doggy playpen! My whole kitchen and entry is wood and her favorite place to be, next to the food! This is going to be bad!

Judging from this thread, you have alot of support here from those who have experienced this with their loved ones.

Yes we will be going through this together! good to have some friends on here for moral support through this and some experience stories. We will be seeing an orthopedic vet within a week and a half

I just posted on the health forum about my baby possibly needing the tplo surgery. I'm at a loss and so confused. Money isn't the issue (thank God we have insurance), I'm just not convinced he 100% needs it. I just don't know. Check out my thread please, and give some advice.

Sorry haven't been on lately,my granddad passed last week,so just got back in town..i also had hardwood throughout, just use every rug you have,it works, wasn't pretty:) but didn't care as long as Jasmine was comfortable! Glad Jewel is getting better,it is a long frustrating surgery, but bullies are tough!:)
