Beamer
Hi there! I am new to this forom and came accross it trying to do some bulldog research online. Beamer is my first bulldog and he has become a very important part of our family. We got him with the understanding that he is an english bulldog but while he has been growing and changing these last few months I'm having my doubts that he is a full blooded english bulldog. I was wondering if anyone else's bully looked more like Beamer when they were puppies? Regardless we love him and he's perfect for us. We were living in Alaska for the summer with our 120lb malamute Yogi and rescued a french bulldog who found us while we were fishing on a river. There was no one around and he was starving, dirty, and covered in mosquito bites. We took him home and he lived with us until we found his new parents who love him like crazy. Our malamute really enjoyed him so when we moved back home we decided to get Beamer, we loved that snorting little guy we found on the river (who we named chum), but thought a english bulldog would be a better fit because they are bigger. So far the two are inseparable, Beamer is Yogis little mini me. I'm very curious about what everyone thinks about little B. There is a pic from when we first got him, one from when his ears and nose were changing, and the last 3 are very current from last night and today. Thanks all!

He is a cutie for sure and looks like an EB to me. they will get tall and lanky at first, then the second year of age, they will start to fill out. Welcome to the site and so happy you joined us.

Hi there and Welcome to the site! Glad you joined us!! It's really hard to tell b/c when bulldogs are pups they are long legged and almost look like boxers until they fill out! My Brutus doesnt have deep wrinkles like most and I always say that they come in all different sizes! He could be mixed with Olde English or American Bulldog!! Either way he is soooooo darn handsome! Bless you for rescuing also :2thumbs:

Your welcome (: and B is such a cutie Can't wait to see more pictures of him!

OMG.... What a sweetie, Oh JeannieCO... Look at them there floppy ears! :luv:

as as others have stated, they go through a lanky stage where they look like boxers.... Give it time the grow up then out.

Beamer is gorgeous!!! And as you can see, Christine and I just love nice big ears. He's gorgeous and reminds me of my Jack a bit, probably do to all the white. Just looking at his pics I'd say his mixed with a little something else. He's so cute!!!

Wow, Beamer is so cute and I love his name! I agree with JeannieCO - it looks to me like Beamer is mixed with maybe Old English but an absolutely the beauty non-the-less! How cute he is with the malamute! :) Welcome!

I was looking for Sheldon's puppy pics last night and couldn't find them them I will look again today but he doesn't have deep facial wrinkles and as a puppy none at all that I can remember. I got boxer a lot when he was a puppy because of his long legs but he is starting to really fill out in the chest area now.
