Long story short

They have appeared on my boys neck about 3 weeks ago

The vet looked and stated this is ā€œBacterial infectionā€ and sent me home with antibiotics

3 weeks later antibiotics didn’t work… HOWEVER

I started medication shampoo and it seems to have helped in the sense of taking down the size of them. They seem to scab up and fall off. The reddish look seems like irritation so I apply coconut oil so he doesn’t itch.

I’m going in on Monday and to see if this is what it is if not I need to locate a new veterinarian.

Has anyone else had this!? If so what was the outcome?

I believe that is some sort of infection. Never seen it on any of our dogs or our rescues but I've seen pics of it here. I'd move towards seeing another Vet. In the mean time, try applying Douxo S3 Mousse and see if the helps.

I actually been doing Douxo shampoo every 3-4 days and the mousse

Since start this it seems like it’s flaky off in scab form. The vet prescribed antibiotics 2 weeks ago didn’t help any. Though the baths and mousse and coconut oil seems to have brought the sizes down just red which I believe was under this

I assume you seen this or had this on your pup? If so what is the issue
A lot of our members had their fur balls with same issue. I had one with it on his back. Went to my vet n he said, shave around the area, wash with soap n water, dry completely n yes the dry is the most important part so air dry. Once all clean and dry, I applied NuStock. @Manydogs actually told me abut NuStock. It is a type of infection, why you need to clean it before applying NS. It totally works n regrew the hair!

Make sure you rebuild your dog’s immune system cause all antibiotics will destroy their gut flora. Goes for humans too. I like giving fermented sauerkraut in the fridge section, kefir and add some raw liver as a topper on their meals. Some will give Greek yogurt, goat’s milk.

Very interesting! Thank you 😊

Yes.. Nustock—- smells to high heaven but works wonders

Do you happen to ever see this and if so what is it?
I have no direct experience but having seen it on here and other bulldog groups it is an infection
