Yeast on tail..?

Hey y'all I know this has been mentioned a bunch.. But not sure if it's yeast? Emmitts tail has brown stuff in it and I know it bothers him I just found it today.. I googled it but can't find a pic of what it looks like in a tail.. I know this sounds crazy but does anyone know where I can find a pic so I can make sure if it's yeast it not?!

I couldn't get him to hold still.. Lol he just wouldn't let me take a pic this is the best I could get.

Hmm.... does he have a tail pocket? Are you cleaning under his tail daily? I use unscented baby wipes twice a day and witch hazel on a cotton pad once a week

What's a tail pocket? And no I haven't. I didn't know you were supposed to. I clean his ears and the wrinkles on his face and he gets like 2-3 baths a wk..

WHOA on the bathes..... only as they need them. Too many baths take the oil out of the fur and dry out the skin. Yeah, you have to clean under the tail every day like you do the wrinkles and face. The pocket is like an indentation under the tail ... Banks has a pretty good divot (as I call it) so you need to keep it free of dirty and moisture otherwise --- either infection or yeast will build up.

Oh ok.. Yea I have only given 1 bath this week.. I know that's too many baths I had too bc he would pee in his crate and lay all in it and would be soaked with pee. But I got a pen so he can walk and not lay in his pee.. He is doing better with it, thank god! Thx that makes sense I didn't know you had to clean the tail. I will get the wipes tonight.
