Well this is weird… I found the lawsuit where Caesar had put a lab on the treadmill (with a leash), and it ended up in a vet emergency hospital. They eventually settled out of court, and I guess the lab survived. I couldn't find anything regarding a bulldog, but I found on a couple sites where people had mentioned that the same situation had happened before, but any info regarding it had been pulled off the internet? How the heck can you do that?!! Very strange…
