How much did the amputation cost? Our dog, Nico, has been plagued with terrible chronic tail pocket infections. Our vet told us it was an elaborate surgery, but I'm not sure what the approx. cost would be. I would love to be able to help him get rib of this problem. I know it causes him a lot of pain.

Wilson and Emma's tail pockets don't seem to get too dirty at all. I think I clean them once a week and just use a cotton ball and wipe around, dry with another cotton ball and then wipe again with another cotton ball with some Witch Hazel on it. Neither has a deep pocket but Emma's is quite tight due to the bend of her tail right there.

twice a day... unscented baby wipes and once/twice a week I use witch hazel
