Happy New Year to everyone too! Sorry for the late reply to the posts - I jumped right back into teaching on the 2nd and it is a shortened term, so is packed full and I have been busy. Frank is super happy to be home and not in the car anymore. 
We miss CA (mostly the beach) too and would love to move more west again in the future. Probably not CA, but definitely near the west coast. As we were driving, I was mentally saying hi to all the EBNers along the way! (Colorado, CA, Arizona...just to name a few states where I know some awesome bulldogs live!)
