The picture is a close up of Georgie Girls sore eye. I clean her eyes all the time but this eye seems to look sore. What would you recommend to put on It? Vasoline? Neosporin?

I would ask the pharmacist about a good eye ointment. I recall seeing Vetericyn for eyes.It is probably very good, as it is a good product Barbara Ray Linker

Hard to see but my Banks had something similar in appearance and the vet gave us an antibiotic ointment for the eyes... neo poly something or othe

I would try Vetericyn for a couple of days and if no improvement see vet, since all the antibiotic eye ointments need prescription.

UPDATE: I used the Vetericyn for 4 days and it didn't seem to help. Took her to Vet today and that eye is not producing any tears anymore. Dry Eye forever. So I'm treating her with an antibiotic eye drop 2x a day for a couple of weeks followed by an eye ointment (Optimmune). The ointment she'll use the rest of her life.

Sorry to hear about the dry eye. Wouldnt it be easier to use cyclosporin drops rather than ointment ? There's Restasis brand for humans, you should check out if will be cheaper since he will be on it for rest of life. If so, ask vet for Rx to take to pharmacy

Monty is on drops for his lifetime because of dry eyes. I tried the Optimmune too and gave up on it very quickly as it was too difficult to get into his very tightly squinted eyes! His vet has prescribed Tacrolimus instead. It is a thicker eyedrop and easier to handle (and cheaper!). His eyes are doing well now.
