My Vet is suggesting that my puppy's nares should be surgically corrected (see attached). He does not exhibit any breathing issues, and I have been told that some puppies nostrils opens as they get older. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Trying to stay positive but it's hard when both are going under.
Castor is back home after his nares and soft palate surgery yesterday. He stayed overnight at the hospital, which was good. Since we got home a few hours ago, he has eaten and been out, but is very tired, of course.
The vet prescribed medicines for acid reflux for one week, but no pain killers...
