Hello,

I have an English Bulldog puppy who is 7mo old and she recently had an ulcer in both her eyes that took about a month to heal with medication and eye ointment. We saw an eye specialist for pets and the vet recommended entropion surgery and I've never owned an English bulldog before so I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this. This is only the first occurrence with the ulcer so is surgery necessary?

Probably a necessary surgery. You'll have to trust your eye specialist on this. Uncorrected, there is a high probability that the ulcers will return and eventually cause permanent damage to the cornea.

Agree with Chip.. unfortunately this can be very common with bulldogs and if not addressed will cause damage
