Sometimes they get tired of regular meals. Tank also does this from time to time. Once in 6 months. One day of hunger and change of food basket helps. Just now I switched his meat from beef to turkey and crops to whole buckwheat and changed veggie component from sweet potato and broccoli to pumpkin, green peas and spinach. I know that you cook them meals with big variety of components. May be you should use less components at one meal, just 2-3 veggies, and after 2-3 months completely replace them with another set of 2-3. Just a thought.
Also, when back in my country I had Irish setters which we hunted with, it was a law that hunting dogs have one hunger day a week. Hunter’s city legends say it’s nesessary for hunting dogs in order to keep their noses sensitive and their hunting drive active. They got only a bowl of kefir once a day on Saturday.
