My spoiled Old English Bulldog cannot swim. we belong to a local pool, and we had her there not long after we adopted her, and our daughter (thinking like I did that all dogs can swim instinctively) put her in the pool and she promptly sank to bottom (luckily in shallow end, and my daughter immediately jumped in and lifted her out).
we like to spend a lot of time at the pool, and we have brought her with us many times, and she does well (most everyone loves to see her as well), but if it is godawful hot (like today 98F, feels like 105), we just cannot. However, if we got her a life jacket and could overtime coax her back into pool, I think she would actually enjoy it.
Has anyone used a life jacket for their bulldog? I see many online, but I am a little nervous because I know our beloved bulldogs do not have typical dog bodies/proportions, and am worried about the fit (because if it does not fit well, it will not work well).
Thanks for any advice/experiences!
