Freya my 19 month Ode Tyme English Bulldogge has just been diagnosed with elbow dysplasia in both front legs, this means unfortunately along with everything that comes with it, her walks and play now have to be kept at a minimum.
As a very energetic 19 month old she is easily bored and frustrated without plenty of each!
Iāve been doing everything I can think of to occupy her and keep her mentally stimulated but Iām running out of ideas .
So far we do food treasure hunts, she has puzzle feeders which she solves in seconds!
Iām teaching her new tricks that arenāt too strenuous for her some can also be used practically which is helpful.
She has connected shapes tunnels to go through , she doesnāt like going in, even with high value treats, same with cardboard boxes.
She loves bones unfortunately she has food allergies and a very sensitive stomach, bones and Freya tend to pebble dash everything!
Interactive toys such as the self rolling bouncing noisy ball advertised for aggressive chewers donāt last more than 24/48 hours!
I tell her stories, sing silly songs to her..she loves them along with a tummy rub but for a short time then she gets distracted and the zoomies.
She has a paddling pool which is good in warm weather now itās colder I thought about filling it with balls, unfortunately I know Freya without a doubt would climb in once and after that would just chew the balls to pieces. Something she loves to do.
Tug fly wands for a more gentle tug ( that was the hope) she just ate the rope.
Iām at my wits end, sheās going stir crazy.
I was wondering if anyone had experience of toys that do last, and or know of some things to help, that arenāt food based and are hard to destroy. She will chew everything from snuffle rugs, lucky trays, ā indestructibleā toys to pieces of wood
and anything else she can find!

Have a look at them. Jeffo destroys any toy even the Boomer Ball.
