Conflict with Macon and the boys

I need help. Sometimes I hint that I may need a little advice but this time I need help. I'm out of my league it seems. When we brought Macon home she was nearly on her death bed. I didn't realize at the time how bad she was until she got better. Rootbeer, lab, and Clyde, EB/basset mix 10...

    Collar or Harness?

Do you prefer a collar or harness to use with the leash for your dogs? I have our new puppy's daily collar picked out, but not sure if I should get a harness too. I just use the daily collars for my 2 Bassett-mixes. We do not walk often, mostly play/run in our decent-sized back yard.

Just bought a great collar for bulldogs...

I have tried two others in the last week and half. The first being a regular collar which when he stopped walking which he was doing frequently would pull up to his ears so I tried a slip collar on him and he absolutely would refuse to walk sometimes. I don't know if anyone else has tried these...

Good Option to hang name tag

Harvey is microchipped but I never had a name tag for him until today. I just had one made and engraved with his name and our phone. He does not have a collar but a harness only and I only put those on when I take him for a walk. Question: what is an alternative collar or even leather...

    Julius K-9 Harness

So I've seen a lot of good information on EBDN about these harnesses, and I would like to order one for Taco. We have been using a leather collar, which he is fine with, but I would like something with a handle on it for when we take him to the dog park, etc. I've looked into ordering them...

    A bulldog owner's birthday...

Today is my 30th birthday. Wanna know what we did? My husband and I took Belle on a picnic and then we let her play for a few hours at the local dog park. The weather is nice and cool today and they have a kiddie pool so we let her tire herself out. Then we took her to Petsmart and bought her...

Voitto's Temperament testing results with pics

So we took our Voitto to a temperament test. The test is really meant for working ang guarding dogs (german shephards, rottweilers and such) so if he'd be that the points would not be very flattering. Since he is a companion dog, he's great at that! The test covered differend areas, like...

    Harnesses

Need to buy new ones for the boys. But every time we try one on, the top strap is too close to the neck. So when the lead gets attached and we pull (even a little bit), it rides up and pulls against the neck. This is exactly what we're trying to avoid. This has happened with every single...

    Chubbs didn't finish dinner

I stood up to hand feed, he had maybe 4 handfuls. Then the rg kicked in so off to 'time out' as the trainer class it. When I got Chubbs out 30 seconds later, I sat on the couch. He was more willing to eat but only 2 more times. So, I put the food away. If he was just gonna lay down or sit and...
