Hi there, Yes that is the way Jewel was. The first 96 hours home were the toughest. Miss Bertha Bacon will come out of the fog and start eating and drinking normally. Keeping her immobile will be the task. Jewel had her staples removed after two weeks. She really did not put any weight until after week 3 and still hobbled. We then followed up at 6 weeks post op for xrays. The vet increased her activity to walks. We followed up yesterday at 12 weeks and all of the restrictions were lifted allowing Jewel back to normal activities. I know what you are going through except the added anxiety over Arnold's condition. Prayers and positive vibes to you and your family.
