  • you sure can... we did Pepcid and Benedryl for both Nitschke and banks as needed. If you are concerned, skip the Benedryl for a dose and just do the pepcid
yes, he love belly rubs and belly-ups all the time to ask for one so that is not an issue.... I added pressure to see if there would be a response -- did it twice, both times he let out a groan and it seems hard/bloated. maybe gas??

OK - so if he normally doesn't it could be just that.... you are doing all the right stuff for him. I hope he feels better when you get home -- dman allergies this season are brutal.
I would not concern yourself with the grass eating.. my opinion based on my vet saying this to me for years.... it means nothing, they do it cause they can and it is there. Dr. Joe says some vets do believe it is due to an upset belly, but it has never been studied or proven. Unless banks actually threw up, we never noticed if her allergies bothered her belly.... Nitschke, he was always tossing because his allergies were worse than hers.

Mush boy -- belly worries me a lot
NOTHING and I mean nothing ever stopped Banks from eating, she even ate breakfast on the day she past... she later tossed it, but she did not snub her food, ever. She was just more bitchy than normal when her allergies were in high gear - she just wanted to sleep. she would eat, and go right back to bed. Get up for potty and right back to bed.

Normally when I am home, he does not sleep... he is up my *** and wanting to play -- all he is doing is sleeping and when I touch his belly he groans so something is bothering him for sure. And, Cheli is not trying to get him to play, he is just laying by my feet
Tyson sounds like his allergies are kicking his ***! banks would get that way were hers were real bad... ears, and paws would flair up and she just wanted to sleep. Grumbled whenever I would wake or touch her LOVE that girl!!
Lambeau's poo started out normal... he has gone three times today... 1. normal, 2nd very soft serve and last watery
so hope they both just have a bug of some type... what has me most worried is the cool ears, that is just strange to me
Actually I haven't even had the chance to notice… I've been so busy the last couple of days he has become my last effort :(
Yes I did… and I already started giving it to him. Sorry I haven't been on much… drama at home :(
Hi Jessica, Finn had a f/u appt. today; his poop has been off/on diarrhea, not daily. So vet wanted to do a fecal test just in case there was something else going on. Yesterday the little bugger fell off the bed onto the hard floor, onto his same hip that he injured 2 wks ago! he was all right and i've been watching him since and he seems fine. I'm just a little discouraged b/c the vet was discussing his hip dysplasia and the options for him if he starts feeling pain again. I don't want him to have invasive surgery if i can help it but i don't want him to be in pain either . I guess i will just wait and see how he feels as the days come. Otherwise, both boys are doing pretty good and it's nice spending time w/them since i'm on vacay :) Thanks for checking in!
Oh gosh no worries… I've been so busy I don't have time to check them all, Thanks for letting me know!!!
Doing some better. No blood and his poops are still soft serve ice cream like but was told by the vet that was to be expected with me changing his food again to the Orijen. His face gets pink around the time of his last meal of each day so I guess I need to figure put what causing that. I take him to the vet sept. 3rd so i will talk with them some. He has been a lot more playful the last few days so I guess he is feeling better or getting used to me.

    Thanks for asking.
They are doing better. Both boys' poops are much better now. I've been giving them the probiotic every day too, and Nuvet glucosamine/chondroitin (they take more supplements than i do)! Finn has been running and jumping around and i know that's a NO NO. I'm crating him at the moment b/c i have a worker here tiling my floor so at least that will force him to rest a little (tho the little squirt is barking like crazy at the noise). I'm on vacay til the 31st :dance2:!! How are you and Tyson doing??
Oh I get him pools. A few throughout the summer..... I have to stand in it with him or he will attack it until there is hole in the plastic.....no more pools. You think he would get it! Lol. I think a video post to EBN soon!? We have thunderstorms rolling in tomorrow or Wednesday, which always cools the heat wave down. I can't complain, this is our first normal hot summer week in Michigan. It has been unusually cool this year.
