Can't figure out how to get my photos turned right side up!

Dear Melanie, i am not a big pc specialist, but i know how to make it right from iPad. If the pic turns wrong side, you first try to turn it one time in Edit menu, to the left or to the right, according to what your eyes tell you to do. But sometimes it is still inserted on it's side, against any logic. Then you have to turn it 3 more times, so it goes into normal position ( looks like initial photo) but it is turned alltogether 4 times. And save and insert it. This 4 times turned picture will be inserted in right position.

I seem to have issues uploading pics! From my laptop its fine, but when I try & use my tablet (which is most of the day), I get an 'invalid file type' error message, even though I'm using JPEG. Thought it may have been pics over maximum size but when I try with same pics on my laptop it works fine.
Anyone else have these issues, or know of a fix?

I'm sorry I have no idea why one would work and not the other, it must have to do with code so it's likely not your end. I'll let the technical people know and see if they can help.

I have an iPhone, but in the Tapatalk app ... i have a bar with a little camera and image icon to load a picture--- do you have that with the android?
