Hurricane Irma Is Not To Be Taken Lightly

We are in Sarasota, ground zero for Irma. We've done all the prepping we can do. All we can do now is wait. Thank g_d for my son in law. He's out now helping a neighbour bolt down their (3) garage doors. It's like a ghost town here. Most houses are shutter. We have hurricane resistant windows. It a 2 story house, 4,000 sq ft. A lot can go wrong.

I hope you are OK. I watched the news last evening and saw the crews report while in the storm. What really surprised me was the water draining from the bays, rivers and off shore on the north side of the storm. Only to be replaced with surge on the south side of the storm. Prayers for you and your family.

Reporting in. We're fine except for no power. The hurricane diminished a Very few miles from our house. We have the generator, but are very judiciously using it as there is no extra fuel available anywhere. Will report in again later.

The news reported that over 50% of Florida is without power. But to let you know, Maryland's BGE (Baltimore Gouge and Electric) sent crews out on Sunday to help Florida recover. The news showed a huge staging are with crews ready to go to work. Hang in there...prayers. --rj
