Hi folks
Haven't messaged in a while.

My eldest has had an itching problem for a long time now.
She is 11 now, and for the most part really healthy.

She had a skin condition when she was about 4 years old, and I think the itching started there. For years she had itching now and then ,however the last 3 years it's been a real problem. She has bouts of itching during the day, and there are times when she has none. Usually she scratches the lower part of her body on both sides. Gets really bad when she gets up after laying down.

There's no scarring or bleeding, so I think she scratches lightly, however at times it seems, it never stops. The doctors at the vet don't pick up on it, and I've had her on expensive medication before, which gave her relief for 6 months, however there should be a better solution than having to spend so much money.

Any similar experiences like this and some solutions please?

Thanks you for any help

Nice to see you @yankydoodle
Usually it’s food related. Was there any food changes? Also colder weather is kicking in and often like humans, the skin gets dry or even a change of detergents. If it’s only on and off, boost her minerals in the diet. Add raw liver as a topping and organic bone broth. Make her a little oil/lotion. 4oz of fractionated coconut oil, add 10 drops of lavender, 8 peppermint, 10 chamomile and 5 of tea tree. Or….2 oz of fractionated coconut oil and 10 drops of lavender.
